"Perfect" & here's why!

I think we all need to come to some realization that there is no such thing as a "perfect" self tanner. If you're trying to achieve a "perfect" tan, you have to improvise and work with what you've got. Fortunately, this product is so amazing little effort to achieve the perfect tan is needed.

Here are my recommendations:

1) Exfoliate! This is so important. Find a good product that will help you achieve this. I like Earth Theraputics Hydro Exfoliating Gloves.

2) Moisturize! -- Oh wait, this is a lotion. You're already killing two birds with one stone. (...and boy, does this moisturize! I, like some other reviewers mentioned, use this as a daily moisturizer!)

3) Find a tanning blending balm. This helps blend your tan for those tough areas, like your elbows, ankles, in between your toes & fingers. I use Xen Tan.

I use this product for many things too. Before, when I would get spray tans, I would use it to help keep my mystic tan longer. It really helped.

I also use this product to keep my Fake 'n Bake tan (once I realized how much those mystic tans were adding up, I had to find an alternative!)

Then, when I ran out of my Fake 'n Bake, I used this product on its own. I was really blown away!!!!!! I am so pale. I put this product on after my shower, before I went to bed & woke up to a bronze, sun-kisses glow. After three days worth of applications, I am now just as tan as I would be after WEEKS in a tanning bed (I'm so pale it takes me forever to achieve color, even with expensive lotions).

I just love this product & I had to write a detailed review because if you're like me, it's exhausting looking for a good self tanner!! (& expensive!) look no more!

Also, if you aren't keen on this lotion's scent, simply add it to your normal lotion. I add mine with my Bath & Body Works lotions since they smell so yummy! Voilà!

Use this every day!

I agree with the first reviewer except for the "It should last you a year or more"-- but that's probably because I use this every day. I've researched a lot of sunless tanners. This one has the fewest sketchy chemicals and is a pretty good bang for your buck compared to other sunless tanners. It's also really moisturizing. As with any sunless tanner, you MUST exfoliate before applying it and be careful to rub it in well and not miss any spots.

Love this!

I use Natures Gate body lotion and love it, this is just as good as the regular lotion and builds a nice, natural looking color gradually. Even though I am fair skinned I chose the medium skin tone lotion (I'm also impatient :)) and it's working beautifully. Because I ordered it a little stronger than it really should be for my skin tone I do get a little bit of streaking but nothing I can't fix with a loofah and prepping with regular lotion on the dry spots.
The smell is decent, kind of like a lemon cake and it does get a bit of the self tanner smell later but nothing I notice during regular activities.
