Fabulous curling iron, but burn danger

I love all things T3, and have all the flat irons, curling irons, hair dryers, etc. IF this is authentic (some knockoffs out there that T3 won't warrant), it is incredibly wonderful. Makes fabulous large sized curls quickly and easily--just enough curve without tight curls. However, in my opinion there is a design flaw, in that it is unbalanced. It rests on a round (not flat) base above the handle, and turns over quite easily when heating up. It gets extremely hot, and even the weight of its cord plugged in can tip it. Today, it did just that for me and got my hand as it flipped over. I have a large and very painful burn from the huge barrel. I think they should have counter-weighted the giant barrel better, had a flat and secure rest, and even a longer handle to balance it. It is a bit awkward, and can be quite dangerous. If you don't have a problem, it is a fabulous product--IF authentic.

It gives you a gorgeous body wave and smooths down the cuticle. The ends of my hair look beautiful! It's definitely the best hot tool I've purchase!
