Great product, BUT...

Lanolin is the best thing for healing minor skin problems, like chapping, diaper rash and small cuts/scrapes. I normally use the-name-brand-in-purple-tube, so when I saw these I was very happy--small and portable lanolin for lips, and the kids each get their own.
B-U-T, I thought it would be processed in some fashion to make it a bit more solid, like chapstick. Nope, it's exactly the same as in the tube, gooey and sticky, and decidedly BAD to keep in a warm pocket. Don't smear in on like regular lip balm either, just dab or you get way too much. It also has a twist-up mechanism like regular lip balm, but the lanolin kind of gums everything up. Still a good product, just requires a different mindset for use and transport. Minus one star for leading me to believe this was going to be as convenient as regular lip balm.
Also be aware that this has not been processed to reduce the smell. It's kind of like a mildly spunky goat cheese. Not necessarily a bad thing in my opinion, and our kids actually like it.

Great lanolin lip balm!

I was watching Dr. OZ and on one of his shows he had someone on the show giving beauty tips. One of the beauty tips he shared was how lip balms (I'm not sure what percentage or type) make your lips even drier. So it was suggested that you use lanolin on your lips. So I called quite a few drug and health stores in my area to no avail. Then I found it on Amazon.com-supplied by Koru Naturals. I am very happy with the product. It makes my lips soft and gets rid of the dryness. I was also happy with the prompt service I received.

Good but quality has gone down

Good product and delivery was very speedy - faster than the estimate.
Two criticisms:
1.) This is the second time I have purchased this product. From the 1st time to the 2nd they changed the packaging in a negative way. The first time the tubes were covered in a clear plastic sleeve with the label protected underneath. To remove the cap you had to first tear off a section of the clear plastic. This was easy to do since there were perforations. Now they have done away with the clear plastic sleeve. Instead a portion of the label extends up over the cap. It was a real struggle to remove the portion of the label over the cap so that the cap could be removed. Even after I got enough of the label off to open the cap, there was gummy residue left that quickly attracted dirt and became grody - yuck!
2.) The mechanism to screw the product up & down in the tubes worked very well in the first batch I bought. I was even able to refill the tubes several times using the additional Lanolin I purchased in a pot. The mechanisms in the second batch I bought have failed twice even before the original product was all gone. I'm not too happy about that!
