Excellant chamois cream

The Assos Chamois Cream is the best chamois cream I have found. It is a thick cream so it stays in place well. Also, it is great to use to prolong the life of the chamois in the bike shorts. Assos recommends rubbing the chamois cream into the chamois after every third laundering while the shorts are still damp and then hanging up to dry.
I have had no chafing when I have used the Assos Chamois Cream (not even after a 204 mile ride in the summer!).

Assos chamois cream - second to none...

Great product! Definitely would not survive century rides or any other extended cycling trips without it. Non-greasy, odorless, does not stain pad, and is hygienically healthy & safe after hundreds of rides. I highly recommend this product to every cyclist I know.

I love my Assos, but I love what it protects even more

I had never used any type of chamois cream before. After being advised to try it for the long training rides I was doing (50 miles plus), I gave it a shot. I tried some Chamois Butter thing and it worked OK. But I wasn't that impressed. After meeting up with someone who specifically recommended Assos Chamois Cream, I reluctantly gave it a shot. WOW! It was incredible! I will never use anything other than Assos ever again if at all possible.

Yes, there is a slight mentholated odor and sensation on the skin. But it is about 1/10th of that of something like Ben Gay or Icy Hot sports creams. The best application method is to rub a good amount all over the chamois and hit the seams especially good. Let it dry (anywhere from an hour to overnight). You really don't need to actually lather up your skin with it. Just slip your treated shorts or bibs on and off you go.

Seriously, if you let something as trivial as a little mentholated odor or sensation get in you way, you're not really serious about riding anyway. This isn't for the guy who rides his bike to the store to pick up a pack of gum. This stuff is for people who go out and sweat out a 20 plus mile ride more than once a week.

Get some, use it, you won't regret it. Trust me.
