not realy raw

I bought this thinking it was RAW mango butter. Well, when I received the package and read the receipt that came along with products I bought, I noticed on the description that it stated that the mango butter was refined and deodorized. Hardly RAW if you ask me. Now it appears to be a okay product for moisturizing as it has kept my hands from drying out when its cold outside.

Great butter but low weight

Again, as with the Cocoa Butter I purchased at the same time for the same seller, this is a good product but not enough in the jar. I ordered the 1 Lb (16 oz) jar and received 14.45 oz instead. Although it weighs 1 Lb in the jar it is advertised as a 1 Lb net weight (definition: Actual, computed, or estimated weight of a good without its container and/or packaging. Gross weight less tare weight equals net weight.) and not 1 Lb gross weight so I ended up paying for Mango Butter that I didn't receive. In this case I received about 90% of what I ordered which comes out to about an $0.82 loss for me. Really, it's not enough for me to send the product back or squabble over but it is something I'll discuss with the seller on my next order.

It is okay enough

I purchased this product to use for my hair and skin care. One of my main hopes was to mix it with other products to create something awesome. It was packaged well in the large container it is pictured in. For the most part, the butter was in one solid chunk, which did not surprise me. However, I was surprised by the smell. Upon opening the product, I noted the an odor similar to rancid oil. From the product description, I was not expecting an odor at all. It was clear to me that the butter has old and had turned a slight bit rancid. Since the odor was light and I was using it with other products and essential oils, I decided to keep it. Plus I did not want the hassle of returning it. Still I will not be purchasing this butter or any other butter from this supplier. If you receive a newer batch, it is a fine product.
