The PURELL advanced instant hand sanitizer, pump bottle, is an antimicrobial gel that contains 70% ethyl alcohol to help reduce the number of germs on hands, and four moisturizers to help keep skin hydrated. This pump bottle dispenses small amounts of gel at a time. The hand sanitizer meets U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) healthcare personnel hand-washing requirements.
Hand sanitizers (also called hand antiseptics) are liquids, gels, or foams that help reduce the number of germs on hands when a small amount is rubbed into the skin; no rinsing with water or drying with towels is needed. In situations when soap and water are not available, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends use of an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Alcohol-based hand sanitizers can quickly reduce the number of germs on hands, but do not eliminate every kind of pathogenic microorganism. Hand sanitizers are not as effective when hands are visibly dirty. They are available in a range of sizes, from small bottles for personal use to large mounted dispensers for public or institutional use. They are also available as wipes: small, disposable paper or nonwoven towels soaked in a hand sanitizer liquid. Hand sanitizers are typically part of hand hygiene programs at health care and food processing facilities, where pathogenic microorganisms are common.

Excellent product. I believe it's kept my family free from catching viruses, colds, flu, etc. This is the 12 oz bottle - 50 percent more than the pump bottle you usually see.

Pay attention to the price

On the lightning deals page, this item is listed for $38.50 with an original price of $8.32, it says the product is -368% off. When you click on the item it then shows a completely different set of prices, and states it a case of 12. My point...read carefully before you purchase. I did not buy this product, I only saw the mistake. It is 24% claimed and those people are getting swindled. I called called customer service to report the problem (a good deed on my part) and was hung up on when I asked for a supervisor. Lady claimed that she couldn't find this product for sale at all! Great job amazon, make your customers think they are going crazy!
